Following on from the success of the 2002 Annual, this programme is packed with action and features from the world of steam and vintage heritage.
This year’s programme is presented from the Blists Hill Open Air Museum, near Telford, by Paul Appleton. The museum has a wealth of interest for viewers and between the main features we look at different parts of the huge open air site including reconstructed village, coal mine and forge. There’s also the fascinating inclined plane that connected the Coalbrookdale Canal with the River Severn. Major features include some of the real highlights from 2003 including the East Suffolk Steam Road Run which our cameras followed throughout and the British attempt on the Guinness Book of Records world tractor record at Hullavington Airfield for the greatest number of tractors working with an implement at one time in the same field.

Two commercial vehicle road runs are presented from ‘up country’ including one in the north east, the other in mountainous Cumbria.
There is also a special feature on that rarely filmed of all heritage equipment, the fairground organ, where we visit a collection that includes showman’s engines of which the world famous Iron Maiden is now a part of.
These are just a few of the many features in this edition that will provide plenty of all-round entertainment for the vintage vehicle enthusiast whatever your persuasion!
At Blists Hill we also meet some of the staff and volunteers that keep this fascinating museum going, as they show us some of their favourite exhibits and explain how they work.
